Much less than $199 on contract, which is how most people have bought their phones for the past 20 years? That's $100 a year. I'm not pinching pennies, so no worries. That said, my iPhone was $199 and the G3 was $249 when I got it. Cost isn't an issue for me.

4 months ago the G3 was the top of the line Android phone, save for a Nexus. Motorola's Droid line has always been fraught with issues. I wouldn't touch the Turbo if you gave it away. The G3 is a solid piece of hardware with an amazing screen. It will have Lollipop by next week. I don't regret buying it and use it daily.
But it's still not an iPhone
