I drove sports cars for twenty-eight years and loved it. I too loved the power and opening it up. But after a few decades you discover how impractical sports cars are. They are low to ground which is a huge pain in the ass (everything from parking to speed bumps to getting out of the driveway), can't park in fields (I got stuck once at a concert), then there is the fact that it's a two door and a two plus two seater can't fit four adults, not to mention the lack of storage. Factor in driving a 600 hp car with a heavy clutch in traffic isn't much fun....
I never understood the need for trucks for most of my life. I suddenly decided to buy one and frankly it's great - I can do ANYTHING your sports car do and everything your sports car cannot. For the most part I can drive just as fast as you, and throwing my twenty-five year old truck into twisties is a blast because you really feel like you are putting your life in your hands (you are!). On top of that, I can carry anything and go any where.

driving a truck now.... 2015 Yukon... vette got better gas mileage for sure.. still going for a zo6 next year (I don't want to drive around with 4 adults)
