Just my opinion - but I'm doubting broadcast TV will be obsolete in my lifetime - I think there's still plenty of people who prefer having their news and entertainment spoon-fed to them in the old-school ways.

The internet is still a comparatively new medium among the older generation and requires a bit of interaction - as opposed to merely plopping down in an easy chair and turning on the boobtube box.

My wife and I are polar opposites that way. She'll sit and watch TV all day and night - she DVR's her favorite shows. Me...I seldom watch TV anymore at all. I'm online the vast majority of my waking hours.
