That thing totally depends about the location of the mine detonation. And besides, AFVs or armoured personnel carriers main purpose is to protect passengers against direct and undirect fire, and from anti-personnel mines, not from anti-tank mines.

But you can do things in Russia as you want, actually I prefer you doing it the wrong way.
