Here's an interesting story that got sidelined quite quickly. Jim Clifton, the CEO of Gallup, basically says the White House is lieing about the job numbers on purpose ie to create a feel good factor they hope will bolster the economy. Interestingly, the URL has changed since (omitting the words big lie, presumably to hurt SEO potential):

Later Jim Clifton, comes back and "completely retracts his statement" saying on CNBC he thinks the figures are very, very accurate and that: “I need to make that very, very clear so that I don’t suddenly disappear. I need to make it home tonight.”
