I relocated in 2009 from Amsterdam to Brno and to be honest I love it here.
Clean air, no crime, good business location, living here is good and you are in 2 hour driving distance to the neighbor countries (Austria, Slovakia, Hungary).
About nightlife, you can have the craziest nights here, all fun and pleasure but it really depend on yourself in what you are looking for.
The people here are friendly and what I love the most in this part of Czech is the nature (lots of hills/forest).
I like Prague but would never want to live their but maybe that comes with the age :D
