No one dies from marijuana, unlike so many other drugs, including alcohol and nicotine. People are mellow and get the munchies when they smoke, they do not get violent or disruptive. Medical marijuana helps people with debilitating illnesses.

It's a natural plant and one of the only ones on Earth that grows practically everywhere, in almost any climate. For those religious people out there: why did GOD populate his creation with something harmful? He didn't, he gave us marijuana which HELPS people in so many ways.

Marijuana is a value-changing drug. Perhaps this is why so many hate it? It makes people THINK, and turns them inward so they can examine their values, beliefs and actions. Once someone goes down this path they find it very hard to buy the party line of constant, neverending war. Is this the reason so many people hate marijuana?

Seriously, the anti-weed vitriol seems totally whacky, as if the opponents were the ones stoned. LOL But I would like to hear some reasoned arguments as to why people HATE marijuana so much.
