Pretty stupid to believe in either. That guy was way too small of a threat to Putin for him to bother. Also, I'm sure if Putin wants somebody gone, he could do a much better job.
The CIA version - another total bullshit. This murder cannot stir up any shit in Russia, where Putin has an enormous support. So, it simply doesn’t make sense for CIA / MI5 (or was it 6), etc. to do something like this.
