it certainly doesn't help that he doesn't have the same email address anymore. if all else fails, backorder the domain at multiple places. it can't be that in demand as if it was it would of sold at godaddy auctions before it went into redemption. make sure it actually is in redemption though. often what godaddy calls 'redemption' period isn't the actual redemption but godaddy's.
