1. Your join date is this month. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Yes sometimes good people just join for the first time but more often than not it doesn't work like that.
2. While I think it is kind of scummy for them to accept the traffic and revenue and then six months later refuse to pay, the main question I have is whether or not this was in the TOS the whole time or not. If you are doing significant volume you must read the entire TOS.
So I'm kind of "meh" about the whole thing so far. <shrug> Sorry about your friend's luck though.
