Also you can bet that if Nato troops invaded Russia as a result, that Russia would retaliate with nukes. Then it would go gang busters and tribal people living in the outskirts of nowhere would be the winners. I really don't think Russia or the US or any other country is dumb enough to use nukes in this day & age. They don't call it mutual assured destruction for no reason. It's the reason we try so hard to keep the absolute nut case countries from having nukes because countries like NK might actually use them..

I'm not so sure about that. you sound as if nuclear retailation is a foregone conclusion and knowing what i know about military strategy, there are always several different scenarios planned out to choose from.
the other problem with this is you can count on ANY nuke device detonating being from Russia, not necc. directly, but some of that [unaccounted for] Russian nuclear material will ultimately get to the wrong people and they will make a dirty nuke out of it, which i think is more certain than a thermonuclear or wtf ever the mushroom cloud one is.
but yeah, terrorists, with the money they are acquiring, will get nuclear material at some point.
