I'm not really someone that follows the conspiracy theories but I was sent an email about one involving the clothing industry that made me stop and think for a moment.

It's called the "Great Slob Conspiracy" and it argues that society has been changed so radically over the last few years by simply changing the outward appearance of the average person. And that we can change society back for the better by literally taking pride in our appearances.

Here's a cut and paste below of the letter sent to me

However I'm convinced that there is a great conspiracy to turn the public into lazy slobs that don't give a shitabout anything except stuffing their faces and masturbating. You see fat lazy people spend more on garbage they don't need and people who become addicted to sex are easy to control.

For example look at how nice women used to dress:

Now look at how nice men used to dress :

it wasn't just a white protestant thing:

Although the past wasn't perfect society can be restored to its former productivity if the average person can be made to take pride in their appearance again.
