Maybe, but the point was that Finnish people live in Finland. The rest are Ruskies who speak Finnish. We use the term "suomensukuinen", that means about "Finnish-related"; so related, but not Finnish.
Actual Finnish folks have quite much stayed in Finland, due the constant wars with Russia. Who the fuck wants to live in the enemy's side? If nothing else, that has made the divide. If you feel like Finnish, you move to Finland, and if you feel like Ruskie, you live in Russia. When it is the shooting time, it doesn't count that much that you are Finnish-related. You have to choose the side.
