Yeah I mean, I just don't see how on page is "useless". I go the extra mile when it comes to that stuff: proper internal linking structure, tags, navigation, good keyword ratio and it's always worked for any other site I've done well with.
Even my test site that I haven't touched since I set it up a few months ago is about to crack page 1 for "(the models name) + porn" so it can't be that bad. Especially when backlinks will soon be less of a factor as the years go buy (recently from Matt Cutts himself)
Obviously I've got a lot of work ahead of me if I want a broader topic site though. But if I do go the blog route I'm going to update content regularly so it definitely will go deeper than 10-15 pages.
As for the Tumblr, thanks for the heads up, I have zero experience with them (although I did read they were more relaxed on their adult policy, so was going to set up an account)
I wasn't even going to fuck with FB, even though the safe for work stuff crossed my mind, but if people are having success with it, I'm willing to look into it since I already have experience with their campaigns. I guess I would just have figure out an approach since I'm not used to reaching that demographic.
