All of my *official business emails* are sent in the company's name using the company's email servers and I am hardly the Secretary of State (or public office holder).
It's an abstract of not commingling (or mixing official and business communications). It's CYA for anyone with *exposure*. After what happened with the Clinton's private life being investigated, Hillary's repeated "I don't recall" testimony -- it boggles my mind how she could be so stupid. If anything it gives the appearance of impropriety and shows her bad judgement.

No warrant is required for emails older that 180 days -- just a simple subpoena. Subpoenas require no probable cause -- they are used in discovery of evidence. All the more reason to not commingle your email.
