My question was why it took so long for people to catch on? Maybe everyone knew right away?
One point to keep in mind for anyone who knows this guy is that maybe his account got hacked or bought by a scammer. This is a real dirty and petty and disgusting move but maybe it's not actually the same guy.
It's criminal fraud though.
