Hi webmasters! I have a business story for you, unfortunately real story...
As some of you maybe know, I asked here recently for some content to buy, some providers contacted me and there was also Brandon Ackerman aka Marlboroack (on GFY) from Adultfilmstarcontent. He offered me "I have a few hundred I'd sell for a couple bucks." Okay so we agreed at $45 per DVD and I`ve picked from their store 6 DVD`s for a start.
BEFORE I`ve sent money to him (and here I should have another interesting info) Brandon communicate very well.. care about what I need etc...but also he started to push very hard in style "send money!, send money to...." it started to be very annoying what I don`t like, but ok...I have selected DVD`s so why not...I`ve sent money...and now BAD story begins.
Bad part: day after he received my money, I`ve got links to download DVD`s good.. BUT without any 2257 docs, licence, invoice!! Second bad thing was, that three scenes was duplicate (on other dvds - they offer only cover to show on their website - actual samples does not work for me). So I`ve asked Brandon to send me all this legal stuff and compensation for these 3 duplicate scenes - I`ve choosed another scenes from another DVD. At this time Brandon`s communication begins very slow...not hurry as before, before I send him money....
He then promissed, that he will send me all legal stuff together with download links for duplicate scenes replacement..well the promiss is nice thing.. and I`ve choosed another two dvds to buy. I thought that $45 per DVD from first order is still valid, because we agreed on that, but Brandon came with $75 per DVD now. Just because his boss Tristan Brewer said so. So ok, I`ve said that I don`t want these two additional DVDs for this price, so just to send me legal papers and replacement DVD`s and we are done. And now started VERY BAD PART.
Very bad part : and here is real email communication with very rude Tristan Brewer.
Tristan: It?s my understanding you are unhappy about having to pay $75 for two DVD?s.
The only way you will find content cheaper than ours is if you steal it.
We own the resale rights on all the content we have, we are not content
brokers.
Your account is being deleted, please don?t contact us ever again, we have no
desire to work with someone such as yourself.
Me : Wow, I didnt get any invoice or 2257 and you write this?
Will contact proper
authority.
Tristan : Yes, this is what we wrote. You will get the 2257 from your sales rep Brandon,
and anything that needs to be swapped out will be, but we will not license you
any additional DVD?s at the price you requested. And to state the price of $75
per DVD is too high for two DVD?s is simply not realistic and if you can get
them cheaper elsewhere as you state, then we recommend you do. You are
being very defensive. All we said was we won?t sell you content at the prices
you claim to be real?. And since you claim you can get them cheaper, by all
means good luck.
Me : Not $75 for TWO! $150 for TWO...
Tristan : NO NO??. if that?s what you thought then I owe you an apology?.. it was $75 x
2 - $150 total. Not each?. YES $150 each would be too much and I agree with
you. Sorry I misunderstood, I thought I was told that you stated $150 total was
too much for both. I apologize.
Me : To clear things... I`ve said, that $150 for two dvds is too much. Our last deal was
$45 per dvd...
Tristan : $45 each would be on bulk?. Not for single titles, or even 2. When we do ?bulk?
we typically mean 10 and up.
My note - price for first 6 dvds and additional 2 = 8 dvds was agreed by his sales rep
Brandon.
Me : It was ment like this...my first order was 6dvds and wanted to buy more... not one
or two
Tristan : Then I owe you an apology. Then yes we can do $45 each for the other 2
END of Communication AT ALL...
So conclusion about business with AdultFilmStarContent is following for me : I`ve paid what was agreed, I`ve got content BUT without any invoice, licence, 2257`s and some content is duplicate.
So go figure out if you will buy content from them before you do! They don`t act as pro`s in business.
