Hmm not entirely sure what you're trying to say here but if you're implying quality domains are "ancient technology" you are seriously out of touch. Or perhaps we should call the ADULT company that bought Porno.com for 8.8 mill last month idiots!

In 17 years I've watched the domain market explode from nothing to a multi-billion dollar industry. And it's still growing despite Icanns attempts to fuck it up! In the face of all the new extensions last year our .com sales exploded and gave us the best year EVER. At higher prices than we were getting before!

And in a conversion challenged world you'd think the fact that prime keyword domains command 25% increased click thru's, memorability (they remember where to come back) and higher conversion rates (Bing research BTW) would send some of you reaching into your pocketbooks instead of registering my-dog-ate-a-purple-bone.cc and wasting time building sites.

Consumers also believe that those companies that own the primary keyword domains are older and therefore assign them a higher TRUST factor in their minds!

Honestly why wouldn't you take advantage of every opportunity to increase your sales and conversions?

I've dealt with a lot of the adult webmasters and companies over the years and I know a lot of members here run quality acts but there are some who are scrabbling in the mud and don't do the research and spend the $$$ to get above that.

And just in case someo of you think I'm blowing smoke here is our company profile:

"Our company DropWizard Domains Inc was one of the original dropcatchers of expired domains for a worldwide clientel back in the early 2000's. We were dealing with over 50,000 orders per month around 6-7 million a year. Today DropWizard is focused on developing our own large domain portfolio."
