everything in battle has a vulnerability the enemy can exploit. that's just a fact of war. there is no guaranteed strategy using a perfect weapon with perfect means of supply.
you also do not know the context of that image, that could be a quick strike task force that can be deployed anywhere within 48 hours or something. that water crossing supply could be heavily defensed, supported by a variety of vessels that can monitor that flight situation and respond instantly to threats. there could be literally no other way to deploy forces to a particular region other than flying them in like that.
our military prepares and trains for every contigency, having to go to where the hostilities are, wherever they are, is part of that.
