I have ADHD and if I don't take my medications I can literally be in he middle of a conversation and suddenly get some idea and forget everything about the conversation I was in the middle of to follow my idea.
I can also work on a challenging problem / idea or a conflict and it will be extremely difficult for me to put it down till there is a solution, it's somehing I had to practice and use a lot of self discipline to change.
Before I was aware that I had ADHD I always used to run into problems with people of authority (nothing illegal just pushing people's buttons ), after I learned what I had I'd say I see it more as an advantage rather than a disadvantage or condition.
