The advice I just received from a lawyer a few minutes ago is to steer clear. Even promoting an affiliate program is questionable at best. See section 202. Although it does not mention online specifically, it can certainly be interpreted that way.

Promoting that activity is also punishable by law.

I guess it is something I took for granted as LEGAL without ever thinking, in this day and age of VLT's and whatnot.

There were several companies who wrote SOFTWARE for online gaming but put the servers offshore, but because their software company had an email server in Canada, they were raided and charged.

On that advice, I would refrain from gambling or promoting gambling online. Just for everyone's info, take this whatever way you want. I'm certainly glad I asked before I did it
