Um, of course we know that.
It is more of a symbolic thing with in the community. You find out whether or not you are truly welcome fairly quickly.
But controversy create comments and comments draw more comments. This becomes traffic that generates views and revenue that real web users do not see because of adblock.
If the staff found him offensive or cared they would have removed him and a few others long ago. Look around, you can start your own list and in no time you will be on page 2.
