G ok lets move to the corner of the comic shop now and figure out who will win what battle.
On a standard level of movie abilities and assuming we are lumping them together, meaning the abilities of each that have progressed during all the films. Jason would win hands down.
Counting out the first friday the 13th where jason has a quazi cameo at the end as a young drown boy, there is no jason so we start at movie 2.
We also can or will leave out cyborg jason in the future after he has been thawed, his history up to the thawing is fine. Though this battle would take place in a fictional today time thus pre-proving that jason won, so we shall ignore that and just use the history as far as the ways the Government tried to kill him. Fair?
Overall Jason gets stronger, smarter and gains more abilities during each film. We also know if you do destroy him, jason will resurface in another victim and transform himself into the jason we know him as. Then overall we also have never seen or have hinted to that jason even sleeps.
Freddy on the otherhand has progressivly gotten weaker with each film except the last. He is vulnerable in the real world, and has a whole list of weeknesses that can be exploited. His only way to cause death is in ones dreams or by making the other think that they got damaged and it carries over into reality. Freddy is also religiously challenged and tied to those he kills.
Freddy is often beaten at his own game by teens. Rarely is there just one sole survivor. Jason on the other hand albiet of stupid intellegence is rarely beaten at his own game, often leaving just one survivor.
Jasons only real possible exploit is his mother, exploited by the blonde and by corey fieldmen (sp). Jason has undergone psychic attack before and that was unsuccessfull.
I could ramble on. Yet jason is a bigger franchise than freddy is. Jason is the undisputed king of body counts in the movies, and I do not see Wes directing or righting this right?
It will be a quasi tie or multual temporary destruction, yet I have my typical opinions.
