For those that forgot... He basically burned every bridge he had and then announced that he "sold" his "production business" for "a lot of money" and was out for good and just living the good life. He kept trying to make that point constantly - that he made pukes of cash and "retired".
Shortly after it was shown that he was living on a shit houseboat in Key Largo (not Key West) and that his shit boat sunk.
