Other quick bits.
Friday the 13th Part 1-8 are owned by Paramount Pictures.
Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X owned by New Line Cinema.
Nightmare on Elm Street series is owned by New Line Cinema. (all of them).
New Line purchases a 8 series old movie franchise from Paramount, or at that time a company owned by Viacom, Where New Line is a subsidary of AOL/Time Warner.
New Line always had Freddy at their disposal, yet they bought a fanchise series from a rival company. Even with piss poor films done with it, Jason goes to hell and Jason X, do you think they will let Jason loose?
Going back to Jason goes to hell (first jason movie owned by New line), is the same movie where we find out jason can not die and will just resurface. We also see the beggining of this new film where freddy grabs the mask. Jason X I think was just done to spike interest in the horror genre and get the revenue for this film.
