The Fed owns plenty of land that is leased by private companies for business purposes. Fed ownership of the vast Nevada desert is not preventing any private company from working out an agreement that would allow them to create a solar farm.
Fact: More than half the federal land leased for energy drilling is unexplored. Energy firms say it wouldn?t be profitable enough.
