What's also funny is the way illegal tubes are promoting stolen content on social media and sites like MyVidster, and other aggregates.
In their desperation to stay on top of eachother and be seen, many of them have destroyed their safe harbor. When you look at the coding of their submissions on various social media sites there are a few clear dead giveaways which I wont list.
Aside from coding it's clear that content is being seen, described, and chosen for promotion. As any good marketer does they choose specific content to market for specific sites at just the right intervals.
I have a feeling the fake "biggest fan uploading" charade is coming to an end and some people are going to pay a heavy price.
