Unless you are willing to give up the name of the domain, then who knows what the fuck you should do with it?

Your idea of a good domain name is somebody elses idea of a shitty domain name.

Unless it is a straight up dictionary word? Keep it, brand it and work it.

If it's a true dictionary word that would be disgustingly brandable? Sell it or at least put it up for sale for a gross amount of money and see what happens.

With all of the recent Google bullshit with Penguin, Panda etc... There is no such thing as a straight keyword domain that will get you ranked at the top. It helps get you closer, but in the end it really is about quality. In other words, because I own the domain cars.com does not really mean that I would get the top result in Goog;e when somebody types in "cars". It could be Automobiles.com... that's my point.
