I never buy pre minced anything, I worked in a butchers years ago.
Want to know what makes that expensive steak mince look so red? it's at least a quarter ox heart.
lean beef for mince/stews is about $4 a lb here, but I am surrounded by grass fed cows, so it's pretty cheap.
