and your point is ? was africa developed like Europe in XVI or XIX century or it was rather something like visit from Star Trek, when one developed civilisation meets the other one that is undeveloped ?

Advanced societies need large scale agriculture. No big guns and ships without it, and no large armies. And it is hard to have large scale agriculture in Africa without modern methods, and developing modern methods requires large scale agriculture (so, dead end).
