There is no easy to find data available for deaths by Police in New York this year..

But the all time record low according to wikipedia was in 2013 which 8 people were shot dead by cops which is the last year that you can easily find a total number of people killed by the NYPD. However in a single month last year 4 unarmed people were killed by the NYPD. Yet the site below says for 2014 that 14 people were killed by police in 2013. (perhaps wikipedia was only counting people killed by cops with guns and not other means)

According to the graph on this site.. In 179 NYPD-involved deaths, only 3 indicted ? EXCLUSIVE - NY Daily News

NYPD killed 13 people in 2014. However it's the only site I could find with a total.

If we are keeping score I think the cops are still far ahead..

Think about that article 179 deaths and only 3 resulted in incitements and only 1 of those 3 was sentenced. What do you think the ratio is of normal people getting away with murder? It appears cops get away with it 99.9% of the time. With that kind of statics and obvious no punishment, I can't say I feel sorry if any of them get killed at this point. The people are giving them their own justice it seems as that's the only justice they will get.
