Btw.. strange thing you mention about going off the grid.
I've been encountering this more and more lately.. starting with myself 3-4 years ago and learning bushcraft / return to nature type of deal.
Not sure if it's being around computers so much.. or the state of affairs these days.. But more and more people I talk to want to be completely self-sufficient and live far off in the country somewhere with natural resources.
Might just be a sign of the times.. or perhaps an innate understanding that it's time to run for the hills.
I envy those whom have land and the knowledge to work it, but in a good way ;)
