Chromecast is ok if you have decent wireless and are just using netflix. I tried streaming large files off my media server to it with mediabrowser and it couldnt handle it. Seemed like it wanted to convert a lot of surround formats to 2 channel as well. I guess it depends on what app you are streaming from. Also they don't support 5 ghz wi-fi.
I just use pcs at every tv with cat 6 cables.
