I was at the peer in San Diego with my brother once. We were coming back in and there were three little kids along the way playing on tricycles. They could not have been more than 4-5. They were having a blast. I smiled at them and said something like "looks like you guys are having fun!"
My brother told me not to do that because it's creepy. I had no idea what he was talking about.
Yes, there are predators out there. There are bad people. But labeling every person as a creep or a bad person is not good for anyone, definitely not good for kids as they will trust nobody and not be aware of the real dangers that do exist.
It has become a hypersensitive world. Get some balls people.
