You just gave a geography speech on the Great Lakes - to a guy who lives between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. My Loyalist ancestors settled the area in the 1700s.
About a mile from here is a hilltop where I can see both lakes - Lake Ontario to the north and Erie to the south.
A few more miles from here is the Niagara hydro plants you speak of. We kept the lights on and the beer cold during the northeast blackout in '03.
