This was Lake Buchanan in Texas. Where I was at in the first picture should of been completely under water. That's a boat ramp in front of me.. Keep in mind this wasn't a natural lake as it's on the Colorado River and was made by a dam. I guess there isn't enough water to keep it filled anymore.
The sign says no boats left unattended.. I don't think there have been boats here in a long long time. I'm bet the people whom own those houses are not enjoying the water front property..
Canyon Lake which was further south and closer to Austin was very bad as well. There was only a single boat ramp on the entire lake which was still in water and able to launch boats. There were tons of boat storage businesses whom had gone out of business because no one was storing their boats for week end get a ways at the lake.

I saw a documentary on this recently, and Vice did a good report on it too. It's pretty scary. Do you still live there or were you just visiting when you took those pics? Regardless, it's pretty sad to see what is happening in Texas. Good luck...
