Total dip shit program. Those are elk not deer.
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is fighting the wolf programs so they have more elk to "thin" out and have been introducing elk around the country (regardless of the consequences).
The wolves are vital to the ecosystem (same as large cats) and do virtually no damage to domestic livestock. Sadly red wolf reintroduction programs have not worked well.
