In that way I agree with Jared Diamond, i.e. that agricultural and sedentary civilization is the worst mistake humanity ever made.

I've read some of Jared diamonds stuff and I'm not sure I agree with everything he says... one thing I always keep in mind is Napoleon Hill's statement: 'there is no understanding of man's inhumanity to man'
if I spent time thinking about that issue I would be sick inside with, not records and documents about the holocaust when I was around 10.... caused a real negative affect in my life. I stared focusing on all the inhumanity that I didn't let go of until my mid twenties. so believe when I tell you I'm very aware of the atrocities, I prefer to focus my energy else ware...
like a Vietnam once told me.... it was a story about his job in the jungle.... setting mechanicals.... mechanicals is the PC name for bobby traps...they guys would sit around getting high or what ever until hey heard the bang and the screams.. then all the guys would go down to the trap to see who got mutilated except the guy I spoke with... his comment was "I don't have a door in the back of my head, what goes in stays there. I don't want that stuff in there"
the stuff with issi that I catch is bad enough for me
I and don't place the blame on religion, I place the blame on the squarely on the individuals
