Can I comprehend that the church/religious people, with whom I disagree entirely about 'religion' and all the rest of that nonsense, have actually done just as much good collectively as they have done bad things collectively? Yeah.
Would those good things have happened anyway, regardless of whether the church/religious people 'stepped up'? I'd say yes.
Would those bad things have happened anyway, under a different guise by different groups? I'd say yes to that as well.
