I never said they were right, I'm always suspicious of anything law enforcement says. I've been pulled over twice leaving the same bar for minor things, one was no signaling. I told the cop I didn't have to because no one was there to signal to and judges in California will back that up, then he tried to give me a drink test and I refused telling him I didn't trust his judgement since he was clearly profiling anyone that left the bar as being drunk. He let me go, guess he didn't want to deal with it.

Living in LA, you can drive anywhere and see maybe 10% of the cars having one or more brake lights burnt out, yet cops don't pull you over for that unless they suspect they can get you for something worse.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
