But back in those days, the people did not want to go to war. It was always something like, the BARBARIANS are attacking us! We must go invade Gaul!!
They were told they were being attacked. We must DEFEND ROME.
But the people running the countries had other motives, mostly greed and power. Same as today. But if anyone says that they are crazy, a conspiracy theorist.
Rich powerful people would never get together and make secret deals, that's CRAZY!!!
WW2 - Its proven now they knew the Japanese were coming, and let them attack so they could enter WW2. No one wanted to enter, after the attack 1 million men signed up for the army, the whole country was ready.
Vietnam - Gulf of tonken incident. Proven now no Vietnamese boat attacked the US, they did it to themselves as a pretext to war. I might add to the yanks financed POL POT - One of the biggest mass murderers in history, they financed him so he could attack the Vietnamese.
IRAQ / AFGANISTAN - Ridiculous amount of proof 9/11 was an inside job. Another false flag done as a way to get the people to go to war in the middle east.

That's how the leadership gets a country to go to war, always has and always will.
