I live in Vegas. I go all over the place here. In the daytime and at night. I go to all black & all hispanic clubs as well.
So far I have never seen any "gang-related" violence.
I know that the gangs are here. But I watch the local news every night. Murders and robberies are reported here...but I can't even remember ever seeing any gang stuff reported.
Having said all of that...IF the mafia still ran this town, there wouldn't be ANY gang bullshit happening here.
