Apart from being civilized... all countries you mentioned were never stable...
On the surface maybe... because of mass oppression by dictators... Iraq; iran; Yugoslavia:
all internally heavilly divided by differences of it's inhabitants. Take away the regime in such countries and it will show it's true face [read: no face] and it will fall apart because it was never "one".
Learn to read... i never thought of America as an altruistic- or a good will organization...
Like i said... Many countries have many bases all over the world... US is not the only one who has military across the world. Learn to understand what NATO is... what Allied Joint Force Command is.... NATO members have obligations towards eachother. Their militaries work together closely.... Calling Western European countries US vassal states is a lack of understanding Western Civilization. US has no jurisdiction in Europe. But the two continents are closely culturally related. Share the same political interests, etc...
