In case anyone hasn't read the original source material people turn to the Bible for the hope of Heaven. In fact a great deal of people in there including the one who was sent to ratify the thing was brutalized on their way out. Its terrible that the victims weren't given dignity at their deaths but neither were centuries of other believers.
I wouldn't undo all they lived and suffered for by wailing and dragging their corpses around just for show and whatever cause you lean toward. Otherwise the one they believed in died for nothing.
