The fact that you cannot count the number of songs that "glorified heroin" sounds like a personal problem. If there are 50 I would be surprised. I cannot believe I am saying this, because I said the same thing to my son about 20 years ago; but, not all drug songs are meant to "glorify drugs." Fairies Wear Boots is an example of a song that when I first heard it live as a 16 year old on Orange Sunshine I thought it was glorifying drugs. After I came down and listened to the words I realized it was the opposite.



But here is the difference, any songs that may have glorified heroin did not cause an entire culture/race to suffer decline. I don't think that even you or blackmonkey can deny that the introduction of crack cocaine was a terrible blow (pardon the pun) to the black community. The fact that any black role models continue to extoll coke as something cool is pretty sad.
