Spain and checks dont really work.
They look at them like a historic document, and they take about a month to clear unless you have a relationship with the bank.
I still have some old checks that the bank wouldn't clear, or told me it was going to cost 70 euros to cash a $100 check. (adult bouncer usd on a cad bank)
