Insecurity may or may not be part of the equation but you do definitely have some serious issues of some sort. That's fine, though. All in all, you do seem like a good guy and nobody's perfect.
With that, I have one slightly off topic but somewhat related question which I'm hoping you can honestly answer for me.
I've noticed that you sometimes have a tendency to dominate not only individual threads, but sometimes even the entire front page of GFY by making a flurry of posts. You'll respond 2,3, sometimes 4 times to a single post without so much as waiting for a response! Up until a few days ago, I likened your behavior to that of a hyperactive child in the hours after having put too much sugar on his already sugary cereal. Then a few days ago, when you elaborated on your health issues, I secretly felt bad for thinking that because it occurred to me that maybe your seemingly hyperactive 'sugar high' type behavior was a symptom of diabetes. If that is indeed the case, I will force myself to stop thinking what I thought.
So here's my question. Is it OK for me to think you're a spaz? Or would that be a dick move on my part because your spastic behavior is a byproduct of you having diabetes? Have you always been a spaz or did it start when you were diagnosed? As your diabetes has progressed, have you noticed an increase in spastic behavior? These are serious questions. I'm honestly curious.
