Its been a couple of months since u made the changes, there were at least 3 google updates during these periods, so its not easy to determine exactly what had happened to causing traffic drop. I would do these and observe see what is working and expand.

1. Reverse one site back to the original format, exactly like it used to be.
2. Remove all the ads, plugrush whatever on the second site and see if traffic would bounce back.
3. Setup the last site as a real site, host real pics and videos, do it surfer friendly, see if u could grow.

Its useless to let those sites died, u had given enough time to test ur mobile strategy and not working, so u should pursuit other strategies.

Usually when I made a change, and saw immediately google traffic fluctuation, I would immediately reverse it, for example, I used to host my pics on the server, when switch to cdn and change the image file path, next day google traffic tanked, so I just reversed back and everything normalize then.

Google is sensitive so do u too.
