No one seriously thinks that an inanimate object, like a flag, directly killed anyone. That is just a superficial analysis that does not deserve any attention. Rather, people are arguing that the message that the flag represents to many people, fostered an environment that promotes hate towards blacks...and it was that environment that convinced a person to kill blacks. |
