It's actually misleading to claim the confederate battle flag simply represents "Southern culture"..or "Southern pride". Why? Because there are lots of Southern blacks, and I rarely, if ever, see them flying that flag. Those blacks are very much a part of "Southern culture"...so then if the flag represented such culture, those blacks would fly it as well. Sure, there might be some instances were a black may have flown/displayed that flag...but for the most part, they do not.
